The New Year has begun and I am trying to start the year off right. It’s funny how you always have such great intentions and then they fall by the wayside. But, I am going to try to live this year to the fullest, stay grounded and work hard to try to make it all work.
I am gearing up to do my newest cabaret, “Ever Blondeward” here in LA on Fri. Feb 24 and Sat, Feb. 25th at the Gardenia Room in West Hollywood. I have had the great privilege to work with my friend, Andrea Marcovicci as my director. She is an amazing performer who is a great creative musician. She uses her lyrics to always tell a great story, and has a lovely charm with her audiences. She has been doing this for such a long time, I always learn so much just from having a conversation with her. We had a blast thinking through this show. It has evolved over the course of working it, but it ultimately is a fun tribute to some of the great early blondes of Hollywood and the Broadway stage. I’d love to have you come out and see it. Joining me on stage will be my long time musical director, Lanny Meyers, and Nate Light on bass.
I am also once again starting the crazy business of auditioning again too. That is always a challenging but fun part of the game. But, I am just going to hit it keeping my New Year’s mantra in mind…“Keep it real, Keep it grounded and be prepared.” At this point in my career, I have to realize that is the best I can do! So, I am wishing you the same. Just be the best you that you can be!
See you out there!
