Blue Skies

October 28, 2006 - October 28, 2006

Maret School

Sandy Bainum performs an evening featuring the incomparable melodies of Irving Berlin, accompanied by the tunes of several other legendary composers, is filled with jazz standards, romantic ballads and memorable theater classics.

You’ll even hear some “unsung” Berlin gems that have been re-discovered after years in hiding. Sandy brings her own flare to some of the finest tunes ever to grace Tin Pan Alley and the Great White Way such as “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” “There But For You Go I,” “Nothing More to Say” and Berlin’s whimsical ode to the outer-boroughs of New York, “A Beautiful Day in Brooklyn.” Blue Skies has full arrangements for a larger orchestra or can be an intimate evening featuring Sandy and her musical director, Lanny Meyers.
