Ever Blondeward at The Metropolitan Room
September 23, 2017 - September 23, 2017
The Metropolitan Room
Directed by Andrea Marcovicci, Music Direction by Lanny Meyers.
Ever Blondeward is a celebration of fair-haired singers of all genres and eras. It features a wide range of terrific songs, originally sung by the likes of movie and theater legends: Betty Hutton, Judy Holliday, Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, June Allyson, Barbara Cook and the blonde that all gentlemen preferred, Miss Marilyn Monroe. Ever Blondeward is a joyful evening, one that will remind us all of our very favorite blonde women of song, including, of course, Ms. Sandy Bainum, who represents all the blondes who came (and sang) before her.
“This broad (no pun intended) range of subjects required a broad vocal range and the ability to fit comfortably in a number of different styles as Bainum covered such disparate singers as Dearie and Barbara Cook.”

… gorgeous singing and incredible humor made for a night to remember… an entertaining performance left me wanting more.”
