“This Christmas” brings to vibrant life Sandy Bainum’s holiday CD of the same name. This sensational seasonal celebration is filled with many musical joys of the season including holiday favorites: “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,” “The Christmas Song,” “Waiting for the Man With the Bag,” “White Christmas,” “Be a Santa,” “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve,” and many more. There are also brand new songs by Bruce Kimmel and bassist extraordinaire Jay Leonhart that cleverly evoke the humor and warmth of the holidays.
The show can be performed with a swinging combo or a fabulous orchestra, with arrangements by Lanny Meyers (who is also the musical director), that are as brilliant, exciting and fun as the season itself. The show features lots of singing and dancing and talented friends generally drop by to lend their musical gifts to the festivities.
